"Mr. Exrex Somme, of Caledon, and Mr. JJ Drinkwater, of Caledon and Info Island, will settle a matter of honour between themselves, by fighting a duel on Caledon Primverness, this coming Wednesday, the 30th of May, at Seven o'Clock in the evening, SLT.
When challenged, Mr. Drinkwater declared his choice of weapons to be the Library of Congress Subject Headings, to be used at a distance of 20 paces. Mr. Somme was then heard to ask, whether the LCSH were the weapons of a Gentleman? Mr. Drinkwater, subsequently queried, whether Mr. Somme felt that Librarianship was not the profession of a Gentleman? The conversation grew somewhat heated, and Mr. ZenMondo Wormser and Mr. Edward Pearse, both of Caledon, were appointed seconds.
An alternate method of engagement was subsequently agreed upon. The duel will be a battle of wits, fought with haiku, of the Five-Seven-Five form. As these are seldom fatal, a panel of judges will be required to decide the outcome of the duel."
Desværre læste jeg dette efter d. 30.5, så jeg fik aldrig set duellen med brug af haiku-våben :-)

Det tog mig lige lidt tid at finde ud af, at det interessante ved denne post ligger gemt i titellænken ;o)
